All of us at Veolia Environmental Services would like to thank you for choosing our service.  Veolia ES was awarded the exclusive collection contract for the residential refuse, recycling, and subscription yard waste services from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2015.

Please find the following details regarding our service offering:

All items for pickup need to be out by 6:30 AM

TRASH – Each resident is offered a choice, set up by the City of Blaine at 763-785-6141 (www.ci.blaine.mn.us). The choices include a 35, 65, or 95 gallon refuse cart, serviced weekly. This cart will have a green body with a green lid. Below you will find the price list for bulk items.

For 95 gallon customers, the extras will be picked up on your regular route at no additional charge. For items which may present challenge for one person to handle, we ask you to contact us in advance to ensure same day service. If you desire to change your trash service level, please call the city directly at 763-785-6141. Please remember that no hazardous waste (such as batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, oil based paints, etc. are thrown in the trash).

RECYCLING – Each resident is provided a 95 gallon Single-Stream recycling cart. This cart has a dark-green body and a gray lid. Pick-up will take place every-other-week. Each service day is divided up into an A-week and a B-week schedule:

Recycling is very important to the City of Blaine. The City pays the refuse disposal bill on a per ton basis. The residents will truly save costs with the city by recycling more. Below is the guide to recycling collection. Please consider making recycling a priority in your household and contribute to the city’s cost savings.

HOLIDAY TREES – pick up will occur from January 7th - January 18th, 2013. Please make sure that your trees are free of lights, decorations, and tinsel and that your tree is placed at the curb at least 5 feet away from other objects.

COMPOST – The compost collection season runs April 1 through November 30. There is also Anoka County Drop Off Sites available (www.co.anoka.mn.us)

Residents will have two choices for compost service.

• Subscription service for $87.00/year with a 95 gallon cart
• On-call service with a $5.00 per bag charge ($16.00 minimum) with no cart provided. Bio-degradable bags only. Residents need contact our office to arrange pick-up on their trash service day. Email works nicely 2 days in advance of your collection day.

Compost collection occurs on the same day as Refuse collection.

BRUSH – no charge to the residents. All brush must be bundled in manageable three-foot lengths, and no more than 4” in diameter. Brush is collected with our compost route.

APPLIANCES and ELECTRONICS – Curbside appliance recycling is available for a $10.00 trip fee plus $14.00 per appliance (Freon and non-Freon). Electronics recycling is also available.
