All of us at Veolia Environmental Services would like to thank you for choosing our service.  Veolia ES was awarded the exclusive collection contract for the residential refuse, recycling, and subscription yard waste services from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2014.

The week of December 14, 2009 all carts for both refuse and recycling will be delivered.  Please remember your first pick up with the new carts will be Wednesday January 6, 2010.

Please find the following details regarding our service offering. Starting January 2010, both refuse and recycling for the whole village will occur on WEDNESDAY.

TRASH –Each resident is offered a choice, set up by our office. The choices include a 35, 64, or 96 gallon refuse cart, serviced weekly. This cart will have a green body with a green lid.

WHITE GOODS/APPLIANCES/BULK ITEMS/ELECTRONICS PICK UP – Curbside collection of additional items is available with a per item charge. Below you will find the price list for additional acceptable items. For additional items collection, please contact our office either at northhudson-sw@veoliaes.com or at 763-225-8705.

Please remember that no hazardous waste (such as batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, oil based paints, etc. are thrown in the trash).

RECYCLING – Each resident is provided a 64 gallon Single-Stream recycling cart. This cart has a dark-green body and a red lid. Pick-up will take place every week.

All items for pickup need to be out by 6:30 AM

Please keep carts at least 3 feet a part

HOLIDAY TREES – Pick up will occur the weeks of January 11th and 18th, 2010. Please make sure that your trees are free of lights, decorations, and tinsel and that your tree is placed at the curb at least 5 feet away from other objects.

YARD WASTE – The compost collection season runs April 1 through November 30.

Compost collection occurs on Fridays. There are two choices for yard waste collection:

• Pick-up with a 96 gallon cart provided by Veolia, weekly
• Bagged at the curb (30 lbs maximum)-requires stickers from Veolia or Village Hall for $15.00/pack of 10. Purchase stickers in advance. All bags used must be biodegradable. No plastic bags will be collected. For customers using bag service, call us at 763-225-8705 or email us at northhudson-sw@veoliaes.com by Wednesday, in order to receive collection the following Friday.
